This hike is family friendly and about 1.5 hours round trip. It's not a loop trail, it's a up and down one-way, and then you come back from where you came. Upon arriving, there's great bathrooms with running water and toilet paper. They even have a information booth if you need a map and want to ask questions. The trail is mainly dirt, some rocks. There are maybe 10-15 mins of a "stair-master" type work out. The trail goes up to about 3000ft elevation and then descends down. I didn't get that many blisters and the trail was easy on the knees and feet. This is very family friendly and on the "Easy" to "Moderate" type of trail. It's great for beginners and for people of all ages!
