The Bain’s Kloof Pass, is one of South Africa’s finest scenic passes. From Wellington, one passes the Napier Winery as well as the Welvanpas Farm, with its excellent single track MTB route and wine tasting options. This drive is breathtaking and we recommend it to all visitors and regulars. Not only is it an incredible engineering feat, but the route is breathtaking with several stunning viewpoints. in summer the rock pools are popular so can get busy. But any time of year, a breathtaking drive.  Great places to stay over and restaurants once you are on the Wolseley side, or continue your drive into the quaint village of Tulbagh. An easy day trip from Cape Town but highly recommended to stay over in the area and enjoy local attractions and activities. How to get here: Wellington is an easy 90 minutes’ drive from Cape Town. Turn off the N1 towards Paarl and take the R44 over the Bain’s Kloof Pass. From Ceres, take the R44, then the R46, then the R310 over Bainskloof Pass to Wellington.
