This was a fairly challenging hike, although it's categorized as one of the easiest 14ers. We took snowshoes but ended up not using them. YakTraks were essentiall, as were trekking poles (sure glad we had them coming down). Allow yourself about five hours to complete the whole thing. I was surprised by how heavily trafficked the trail was. Quite a few backcountry skiers. The views from the summit are spectacular!! Best of all, we saw 10-12 mountain goats up close and personal!
