This is a loop you can take that is locate on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia. This loop is about 5 miles round trip and features some of the best views that Georgia has to offer. You start at the Byron Reece trailhead and then turns into the Appalachian trail after around a mile. From here you will follow the white blazed trail to the top of the mountain. It can be steep and is a workout, but the view from the top is worth it. Once you get to the top there is a dispersed camping shelter where you can camp for free to enjoy the sunset and sunrise from on top of the mountain. Fall is a very popular time to go because you can see the changing colors of the Appalachian Mountains for miles.
