This pedestrian walkway offers panoramic views of Downtown Manhattan, the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s a popular stop for joggers, walkers and Rollerbladers, but it also allows a quiet ambiance for those who prefer to just sit, chat and enjoy the view. The Promenade is lined with huge townhouses and mansions and is part of Brooklyn’s first Historic Preservation District.
No matter what you’re into, you’ll have a lot of fun in here. You can enjoy Plays, sporting events, concerts, meals at the world’s best restaurants, and many more. Bring along some binoculars for better viewing as there are times one can pick up a sole Kayak braving the, at times, choppy waters, being rescued. Great for families as there is also a children's playground always teaming with neighborhood kids. Nearby are the Federal courthouses on Court street and the historic post office building as well as a subway museum. Have a great visit and welcome to Brooklyn!.
