Known as ” Salta la Linda ” (Salta the beautiful), it is the capital city of the province of the same name. The colonial architecture and the surrounding mountains, valleys and wine yards are providing some stunning and unique views. The Devil's Throat around a 1h15 to walk up along the trail (follow the arrow that says 4km), a few steep sections, but mostly a continuous climb with great views, especially on the way down. It's mostly in the shade in the day. I spent about an hour walking up to the waterfall and the narrow trails through the canyon once I got there. 10 pesos to get in. A beautiful spot that's worth the effort, especially the extra little walk up the canyon to the waterfall.
