Diablo Lake Overlook is a must-stop roadside attraction along Highway 20. The entire drive into Diablo Lake from I-5 is varied and beautiful. Do make a quick stop in the village of Concrete, check out the silo and white bridge over the Skagit River. The lake itself is reminiscent of Peyto Lake in the Canadian Rockies in that the colors from the glacier silts are radiant. Main overlook site has necessary facilities and plenty of parking. Nice photo ops between the lake, several bridge crossings, and waterfalls. There are washrooms there as well. Keep an eye out for the signage as you can easily drive by and miss it.
