Ninehours is Tokyo's popular hostel chain. The idea of this capsule includes a futuristic layout. The minimalist sleeping pods glow with an orange light, and the provided sleeping ambient system can be configured to gently wake you up in the morning. Every day of your stay, guests receive new pyjamas, slippers, towels and toothbrushes. Ninehours Kyoto is within walking distance of the historic district of Gion, so in just a few minutes you can easily travel from past to future.
I loved it as a one-night experience! It would be a bit of a pain if you want to stay consecutive nights as you have to check out every day by 10 am so they can clean and then check in again at 1 pm; which would be an inconvenience. It was ideal as I used it as a layover for one day. The hotel has a beautiful location to enjoy the local industry and restaurants.
