Belcarra Regional Park is a regional park of 1,100 hectares located in Vancouver Metropolitan. It is northeast of Burrard INlet's meeting with the Indian Arm, starting near Belcarra Bay and extending to Sasamat Lake. Sasamat is one of Greater Vancouver's warmest lakes, located in Belcarra Regional Park, home to the Sasamat Outdoor Centre. The park is located northwest of Anmore Village and southwest of Lake Buntzen.
Forest trails, rocky beaches and views of the mountains make this regional park a great place to explore throughout the year. Swimming attracts crowds in the summer to Sasamat Lake. Trails range for hikers, cyclists and horseback riders from easy to challenging. A rich variety of marine life is found in the rocky shores.
Due to the view and the ocean-friendly, hands-on access for teaching about marine life, school field trips and large group picnics are often held here. Huge football / badminton field is surrounded by picnic tables, a concession stand and public flush toilets.
