Avebury Stone Circle (Hike)

Beautiful setting with an epic history, in love with the tree of life, which I felt some meditative state with. Great for budding photographers and perfect setting for a picnic. We walked miles with each stone with a unique character. It was amazing on some were slide like, so smooth, no ridged edges. Yet not damaged by man. Stunning walk, stunning views and will be back in autumn for the beautiful colours. Some of the stones had been cut down in the past, broken up to be used as building material for homes, so some of them are missing. There are a few cement markers that were placed in the area where the known missing stones were located.
