Walking and eventually boating at Ljubljanica

The river is really the heart of the city and snakes through the Old Town, taking in many of the highlights of the city. There are many interesting bridges to see and cross, or to sail under and both sides of the river are lined with cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, galleries and churches that are all worth seeing. May take 2-3 hours to wander each bank, but well worth it. Bikes are also available for rental or you can take in the views from a cruise.
