So, Where should I start? It's still June, and there was still snow once you get somewhat close to the top and ice that covered a good portion of the boardwalk. This trail starts at a deceptively easy grade and terrain with amazing waterfall views pretty close to the trailhead. Soon, the incline steepens and the terrain becomes very rocky and starts to get a bit more challenging. There is a TON of snow all around the lake but be careful cause once they starting to melt and there are some weak spots and the terrain underneath the snow is unknown. No need for a jacket at the top. It may seem like it will be cold with the snow but it's not. Bring waterproof boots that provide ankle support or you'll regret it fast. No cell phone signal! So be prepared for emergencies.
