Boating through Floating Gardens

Getting to the gardens on rapid longboats was great fun swifting through the neighborhoods of the canals – – the people seem so approachable and friendly on the shores. The surprise was that the food quality and sincerity of preparation was much higher than I had expected in this setting tends to cater to a few tourists. An older lady with an absolute wonderful spirit captured my imagination and she made me a small soup which was delicious. I offered her a small tip which she wasn't going to refuse but then gave me some dried fish to eat as a jerky which was wonderful! A very lovely experience.
