This is a charming park with several trails that are well pounded by walkers, runners, cyclists, and the local high school cross country team.In season visitors can fish, rent row boats, paddle boats (2 and 4 passenger) and can ride in a pontoon boat that toodles around the perimeter. The water has a blue green algae (cyanobacteria), which produces a substance that is toxic to the liver in people and pets. You can bring Fido for a walk or run and even on the boats, but don't let him drink the water (same for Lake Frank nearby). The trails include one that takes you around the lake, to Lake Frank and the Smith Center, as well as one that goes to Washington DC, and others. The park has many picnic areas, pavilions for parties and 2 or 3 restrooms that are maintained well. In season there is a snack stand with standard fare.
