This shipwreck is on a beautiful beach in the Ft. Stevens State Park. There's never a bad time to visit the Oregon Coast. Rain or shine, the sea charges on with or without us. Of the many attractions to see along the Oregon Coast, the Peter Iredale has been sitting here since 3am October 25th, 1906. Seeing the failed ship, thinking about the struggles they faced in the dark cold night. All were rescued, by a crew from nearby Hammond, and were housed at Fort Stevens, just down the beach a piece. Explore, let your imagination and history take you away.
