St James's Park

St James's Park is encircled by landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Whitehall, including The Mall and Horse Guards Parade.

Buckingham Palace's renowned flower beds at the front of the park are a familiar backdrop for pageants including Trooping the Color, as well as state visits and other official occasions.

From St James ' Café, enjoy amazing views of the lake and fountain, watch the resident pelicans at feeding time, or a sunny afternoon in a deckchair away.

Pelicans have been living nearly 400 years in St James's Park. They were initially submitted to King Charles II as a donation from the Russian Ambassador.
