The Vancouver Biennale has transformed a Granville Island industrial landmark into a gigantic work of public art. Located next to the Granville Island Public Market this is an amusing way to help beautify the industrial area around a popular tourist spot.
OSGEMEOS ( Graffiti and street artists who are identical twin brothers Otavio Pandolfo and Gustavo Pandolfo ) created Giants, a 360-degree, 21.3-meter- (70-foot-) tall mural, the biggest public mural of their career and their public artwork in Canada. The mural, which measures a colorful 2,183 square meters, was created on the six gigantic silos that are part of the Ocean Cement manufacturing and distribution plant on Vancouver’s Granville Island, alongside the world-famous Public Market, Emily Carr University, and boat docks that attract 10.5 million visitors per year. It's really fun and adds so much to the entire Granville Island experience.
