Tennessee Valley was named for a ship which wrecked off the beach... It is generally a very easy walk that started out wide & paved. Good for strollers, etc. More difficult trails are accessible from both the trail head and from the straight, easy path to a beautiful beach of black sand! The trail follows a stream on its' journey to the ocean. You can find the trailhead at 591 Tennessee Valley Rd, Mill Valley, CA 94941. Even on the weekends, there should be parking albeit tight. There's also a bathroom that you should take advantage of, since none exist along the trail. You'll walk past a metal gate, which leads down a mile-long-ish paved road. For the mountain biking start from the parking lot at Tennessee Valley, enter Miwok on the north end where the road meets the lot. The singletrack begins immediately. About 0.5 miles in, there are some steps and switchbacks to negotiate. After another quarter mile, there is a short but very steep section. At the 1 mile point, the trail drops down to an intersection and continuie the path.
