It is the second largest public park in Rome after the Ancient Appia Regional Park. The park is beautiful, but the best thing about it is that most tourists never find their way there. The park and the villa were not mentioned in our guide books and that means the average tourist doesn't even know it exists. I went there with my parents on a Sunday morning and mostly there were locals going for a walk, jogging, biking or playing football in the park. I was one of the few people with a camera around me. The park itself is very nice and not too far from the viewing point at the Garibaldi Monument in Trastevere. But of course the highlight is the amazingly beautiful villa with its Rococo Garden. Highly recommended for every visitor to Rome-then again, maybe it's better not to find out too many people about this oasis.
