The Mosque of Suleymaniye is one of the most significant mosques in Istanbul. It was constructed by the great architect Sinan on the order of Sulayman the Magnificent and both are buried in the rest. Building work started in 1550 CE and was completed in 1558 CE.
This location is a masterpiece by Mimar Sinan, the leading Islamic architect. A genuinely impressive and humiliating experience regardless of your private conviction. We had sudents of volunteers visiting who enjoyed the Mosque and its past. The surrounding area is surrounded by the grave of Suleiman the Great, while Sinan is outside itself.
