This was one of the best things I've ever done. Around 2km and over 1000 steps but worth every one. Spectacular.This is best done first thing in the morning or as late in the day as possible. One to avoid cruise tourists and two to avoid hottest time of day. Take water with you and a hat. Apart from a couple of stops where you can purchase ice cream etc there is no shade. Apart from the cable car there is no place better for stunning views of the walled city.
