With spring around the corner, I am sure you are looking for cool new products that will get you on the trail faster and finishing stronger than ever before. Good news: Colorado-based Tailwind Nutrition is going the extra mile with Rebuild, their all-natural vegan recovery drink mix that is sure to take the sports nutrition market by storm once it hits stores next month!
Tailwind Rebuild is a revolutionary new product that can allow you and your adventure-ready audience to bounce back even better than before for the next ride, race, training session or competition. It is the first recovery drink based on a patent-pending perfectly complete protein, a one-of-a-kind organic rice and coconut milk-based formula that is specially designed to restore your energy and recover muscles after exercise. It is formulated with all of the essential building blocks- carbohydrates, amino acids, electrolytes, and protein- that your body needs to replace depleted glycogen stores, balance your metabolism, and rebuild broken down muscle fibers.
With 100% complete protein that is twice the amount found in chocolate milk (and nearly three times as much as most competitors), Rebuild will be your new go-to for post-workout recovery. The powder easily mixes with water for a smooth and delicious-tasting drink that is designed to be consumed in that “golden hour,” the all-important 30-60 minute window after endurance exercise. Nothing repairs your muscles more efficiently, restores your energy faster, and makes you feel better sooner- so you can get up and do it all again the next day.
Like their ever-popular Endurance Fuel, Tailwind Rebuild is proudly made in the USA by fellow endurance athletes at Tailwind’s headquarters in Durango, Colorado and is specially formulated with the finest all-natural and allergen-free ingredients providing sustained recovery without the worry of dietary sensitivities. Their original all-in-one hydration and nutrition mix has become a favorite energy source for athletes to train, compete and achieve their personal best. Both products are delicious cold or hot, come in a variety of flavors and convenient/packable stickpacks, and retail at $3 or less!
Jeff and Jenny Vierling decided to develop Tailwind Nutrition after years of struggling on race day with gut bombs and the tedious task of keeping track of gels, electrolyte pills and food. With humble beginnings in their kitchen in Durango, Colorado using an inherited KitchenAid from Jenny’s grandmother, they developed an endurance drink mix that can be used as a sole fuel source during exercise supplying energy, electrolytes, and hydration in a simple form that is easy to digest and has little to no taste. Since those early days, Tailwind Nutrition has kept their family business environment and have grown to over 400 stores and is sold in seven countries.
“Our customers come first in everything that we do,” says Jenny Vierling. “They are the reason we have grown to the size that we are today and we do everything we can to let them know how special they are to us.” Both Jeff and Jenny are still involved in day-to-day operations and their team shares the same dedication to personal customer service. Tailwind encourages their employees to connect with their customers by writing their names on the bags and sending them personalized notes of encouragement on their bags of Tailwind or on the outside of their shipping boxes. It’s become so popular that many customers actually special request a message or picture be drawn on their box. Even as the company grows, they continue to maintain their exceptional business practices and relationships with their avid consumer base.
With a very vocal fan base, Tailwind’s customers have been the driving force in their growth. Jenny and Jeff recognize this dedication from their fans, and to support them, they commit to supporting over 100 races per year by donating over 25,000 gallons of drink mix to those races whose RD’s are avid users and supporters of Tailwind.
Some Colorado Runner readers sampled the products. Most seemed to like the flavor offerings and that the drinks did not seem as sugary as some competitors. The single packs were popular packaging because users found that it was convenient for on the go use. You can drop a single pack into a bottle of water.
According to the owners, the key benefits of Tailwind include:
• Easy on your stomach: no gut bombs • Simple and complete: ditch the gels, chews, and pills • Tasty all day: clean, light flavor tastes better the longer you go • Dissolves completely: no artificial colors and rinses easily out of bottles and hydration packs • All natural ingredients: Non-GMO, vegan, free of gluten, soy and dairy • Made in Durango, Colorado.
What Awayn’s Ambassador Arielle thinks
Honestly I was a bit sceptical about the claim so I tired them all and oddly enough I loved them all. Having said that I loved the Tailwind Rebuild Recovery powder. To say it taste good doesn’t do it justice. You really have to experience it for yourself. I was really surprised how well it mixes, and I didn’t find any weird after taste .
I have to say the Rebuild mix is now my favorite post recovery drink mix.
You can pickup the Tailwind Endurance Fuel on Amazon and the Rebuild Recovery will most likely be available as well.
