Great Sand Dunes Hike

The beauty of such diversity here is amazing. You have flat grasslands, then wetlands, then the highest sand dunes in North American, then snow capped mountains. We did not experience walking on the dunes as we were not prepared to walk across the cold waters of the creek in front of the dunes. Definitely suggest Montville Nature Trail, half-mile loop along the creek to a great viewing point of the dunes. Also the video in the Visitors Center is awesome. The Visitors Center also has many hands on exhibits and was very informative
