Table Rock Trail

Great scenic lookout point on Boise. Very good for catching a sunset. It has multiple trails and the Boise penitentiary which is a Boise historical landmark to checkout. Very fun for a run, hike, bicycling, heavy backpack training. The Rock Island trail (Ridge to Rivers #16B) on the plateau part way up the Table Rock trail has small, technical rock features and some fast, flowy sections of narrow single track. It's one of the few trails in the area with signs saying to yield to downhill riders. But be prepared for the steep trail to get to it.
