(Hike) Parvin State Park Campground is a 5.4 mile loop

Area large enough not to be boring or feel redundant - it has several truly beautiful trails. If you are a woman wanting to walk or run in a safe and picturesque setting Parvin is the best. The green 3.1 mi trail around the lake seems to be perfect if you feel otherwise insecure in forests without your dog or male companion. For starters the 1 mile Thundergast lake trail is recommended. The beach with lifeguards is open during the summer with the entrance on Almond road. Plenty of barbecue stations and picnic tables in the beach area. Kids may enjoy a few playgrounds in Parvin. The boat ramp is on Parvin Mill Road. Camping seems fun at Parvin because it offers both cabins and tent area.
