Could not have asked for a better backcountry experience. The weather was delightful, from bluebird sunny to misty foggy overcast to light sprinkles - unlike the downpour that was happening west of Stevens Pass.Camp is beautiful, snow covered trees, with cabins dotted throughtout the property. The main lodge is available to hang out by the fire and visit with the hosts and other guests. Everyone was so friendly and we heard many interesting stories. The skiing in the area was amazing, lots of trails to choice from, great snow, vistas, and we were blessed with blue sky and a bright moon at noc to snowshoe by. We stayed in Columbine cabin. It was a nice size for our family of four. Propane lanterns, water jugs supplied, and a free standing fireplace for heat. Just know that this is a rustic cabin...no running water in the cabin, the nocs are cold, and the morning until you start your fire, and you use a outhouse. Was a unique way to spend our New Years and one we will not forget.
