Ang Thong National Marine Park is a whole 42-island archipelago in the Thailand Gulf, and it features towering mountains of calcareous, thick jungle, beaches of white sand, waterfalls and hidden coves and lakes to explore. Ang Thong Park is a protected area with more than 100 square kilometers of land and sea within sight of Koh Samui. It is home to a wealth of exotic creatures of wildlife and sea. The main activities to enjoy at Ang Thong are snorkeling, hiking, sea kayaking, diving and merely relaxing.
This hike consumes tons of energy to climb up to the top of the view, but it is worth it!
450m total distance in which you start 20m above sea level and finish at 220m. That’s an average gradient of 1 in 2.5; pretty steep. But the stone steps are mostly well-formed, there are helper ropes at the side, and about five rest stops with excellent views.
Please wear appropriate shoes especially at the top, the path disappears, and you are climbing over, and on rocks, it is can be quite dangerous.
