Año Nuevo Island

Año Nuevo State Park has more to offer a visitor than Elephant Seals, and they should not be missed if you are able to get a reservation and make the walk. The guided tour of the elephant seals from mid december to mid-march are fun and are not too strenuous. We went on a day that was sunny, windy, and cold, but it was "balmy" to the seals. Supposedly when the weather isn't that great they are more active. So, rain or shine this would be a good experience! Although it is early for the gray whale migration we did spot one!
