Badab Soort is a natural site in the province of Mazandaran in northern Iran, 95 km (59 mi) south of the city of Sari, and 7 km (4.3 mi) west of the village of Orost. This natural beauty, a perfect day trip from Tehran, allows you to witness geological rock formations glowing in the sunlight and blinding your eyes. Take your camera and head to Badab-e Surt's colorful stone terrace.
Badab-e Surt is a rare geological formation that dated back to the Pleistocene and Pliocene epochs. There are only a handful of places like this and Badab-e Surt is one of them.
Admittingly this place can be a bit tough to get to. It’s 60 miles away from the city of Sari. The journey there requires winding along isolated roads and stretches of unpaved mountain passes but you would NOT be disappointed with the serene views of this incredible place!
