Beach day at Barceloneta

La Barceloneta is the more visited of the two, known for its lively atmosphere on both the sand (vendors walk around selling everything from mojitos to on-the-spot massages) and the beachfront promenade (there are cafes and bars situated on the beach throughout).

Barceloneta is the first of the Barcelona beaches and can therefore get quite busy during the summer months. La Barceloneta is the more visited of the two, known for its lively atmosphere on both the sand and the beachfront promenade  Travelers love the clear blue waters and were pleased that the beach was so clean despite the many people who frequent the shores. If you like to try the wave for some chill surf then this beach with it’s with peaky rights and lefts over shifting sandbars. The quickest way to get to Barceloneta beach is to catch the yellow line metro and get off at the Barceloneta stop.
