The drive to the trailhead is simple off highway 89. Though in rough weather the road could get soupy, it's not as bad as the BLM makes it sound. It's more just bumpy and will jostle your vehicle a bit. But two wheel drive cars make it fine in dry weather (emphasize dry weather). The trail itself is not long to its junction with Buckskin Gulch. Less than two miles one way. It starts with a nice desert walk down the drainage until it reaches the slots. The slots are two sections. They are easy access and provide a nice sample of what it's like to explore a slot. The down side is it's very popular. And there is one choke point that requires some agile scrambling that can be uncomfortable for some and turns back many others. Still, you can feel a nice slot. And I've gotten some great pictures from it. Then, if you make it to buckskin, head down a bit and fully immerse yourself in the tightness of a deep slot.
