Weekend gateway on cape Kiwanda beach

An amazing adventure with tons of attractions all at your finger tips. The photos I captured here are now hanging on my wall. The towering mountain of sand that stands between you and stunning views can be intimidating, but it's completely conquerable. Let the small kids and thrill seekers attempt to run up the sandy facade if they choose. Remember, slow and steady wins the race. After scaling this behemoth, you're greeted by strong Pacific winds and stunning views of the ocean and surrounding seashore. It was mesmerizing to drink it all in, and we did with gusto. You can spend an hour or a day just exploring and enjoying all that nature has to offer in this wonderful state area. Cap it off with a good beer at the Pelican next door and you've got yourself a day well spent.
