Chrám svaté Barbary is the enormity of a Gothic church which was built under the small town of Kutna Hora with the wealth of a silver mine. The images of the miners in their white robes on the walls are incredible. The punishment of the work, the conditions of almost total obscurity, made us wonder whether I could have survived it. School children were overcrowded and their attendance retarded our visit because we chose to be where they did not exist. And the lines to buy in the gift shop also slowed down.
