City of Rocks was one of my favorite places to visit in Idaho. It is beautiful, quiet, and has ample opportunities for hiking, camping, and rock climbing. The landscape is really neat and great for photos. There is no entry fee which is an added bonus. I visited on a weekday in the spring and there were hardly any people there. The main area isn't so big, and it is entirely possible to hike a majority of the trails in one long day. However, I would recommend spending at least 2 days/1 night checking this place out. There are lots of great camping spots nestled among the rocks. There are bathrooms scattered about, but otherwise no facilities. The nearby town of Almo has a small store and gas station, but I would recommend stocking up on supplies in a larger town.
