This National Monument is about 45 minutes out of Santa Fe. We did the slot canyon hike and continued to the summit. It was only about a 3 mile round trip but there is a lot to see in the short 3 miles. The tent rocks are very unique with the odd tent shape vs the hoodoos of Utah and Arizona. The slot canyon is not as colorful as the Utah/Arizona slots but it still very scenic. The combination of the tent rocks, slot, and summit view was great for such a short, moderate hike! I would highly recommend this hike.
