It is so well maintained but we never see any gardeners, the grass is second to none in Europe and people are allowed to lie on it and enjoy is soft sweet verdantness! The statues appear at intersections, the Crystal Palace is outstanding but the other nearby Palace demonstrates the Moorish past of Madrid. The cafes are very samey so take your own food and drink. The Park can be whatever youi need exrecise, sociability, rest or informative. What a treasure for Madrid to share with the world!
