Glasgow Necropolis that lies neighboring the Glasgow cathedral contains around fifty thousand buried bodies in an area of 37 acres. Different styles monuments are present on the site which have been built by the famous sculptures and architects such as Charles Rennie Macintosh, JT Rochead and Alexander Thomas of Greece. The bridge of sighs which lies on the entrance is so names because of the funerals carried out in the site. The ornate gates were erected in the year 1838 that restricted and controlled the free access to bridge. The bridge represents three memorials; still child birth, Korean war and Glaswegian recipients of Victoria Cross.
