There's so much to see and do here, that it's hard to know where to start. If you have a day, rent a boat at the Wahweap Marina and head to Rainbow Bridge National Monument. It's about 2 hours each way, and there are spots along the way where you can jump off the cliffs into the lake, or you can get out and hike around, or you can enjoy a picnic in a secluded canyon, or you can take along a tube for some tubing fun with the kids. The scenery all around the lake is incredible. Just below Glen Canyon Dam a few miles outside south of town is Horseshoe Bend, an amazingly beautiful spot along Glen Canyon that is well worth the short walk to see it. If you have a few days, rent a houseboat on Lake Powell and spend a few days exploring the inlets and alcoves along the lake. If you want to explore Lake Powell or see Rainbow Bridge, but don't want to drive the boat yourself, there are guided boat tours that leave from the Lake Powell Marina.
