In the summer of 2009 the nonprofit organization Nomadic Grün turned created a green paradise on former wasteland.
The idea for the garden was based on the idea that even in an urban setting there can be a place where people rediscover what it takes to produce their own food while combating the growing challenges posed by climate change and to promote healthier lifestyles.
One of the biggest beauties of this garden is that it’s completely transportable every everything is grown in mobile planting containers (the city only allowed a temporary lease).
Besides offering a huge variety of vegetables, flowers, and herbs to grow and harvest yourself or simply buy from their Kiosk, you can also visit their garden café and restaurant, which offers a daily fresh lunch menu.
