Hamersley Gorge at sunset

Hamersley Gorge is a little farther away than the others, though the roads that cut back to Karijini are pretty good for dirt roads-we had a 2WD and it was fine. The gorge is so easily accessible for swimming near the carpark. It's a bit tricky to get in and out of the water, but it was a beautiful place to swim in. You could go down the gorge with towering red cliffs above you for quite a way, but the water can be quite deep and cold so you need to be a reasonable swimmer and be aware of the temperature.
