The trail is approximately 4 miles up hill but persistent hikers will make it. Even if you feel less than fit enough, you can do it if you slow your pace and rest often. Going down is easier of course, but watch out for small pebbles which make slipping hazards. Use hiking poles for knee relief on the 4 miles down hill. Take plenty of water and hydration tablets on hot days over 75° Our final trip was 8.5 miles which included Don's cut off (dwn). At the top, enjoy the views of Table Mtn to the east and Bonneville Dam on the Columbia river below.
