Hamilton Pool Park

Beautiful, lush trail. Often crowded, but worth it. The pool and cavelike structure are amazing. You can see fossils in the ceiling and walls. And if you happen to be there after a large rain, the falls are spectacular. (Note: check the website before going to see whether the pool is open for swimming and whether re trail to the Pedernales River is open for hiking. There is no swimming when bacteria counts are high. And the trail to the river is closed when the soil is too wet.)   CASH ONLY at the gate.
