Hokitika Gorge Walk

A short drive out of Hokitika itself and this place proves a wonderful opportunity to see a truly beautiful gorge. Well made paths lead you to several viewing platforms only a short distance from the car park. One word of advice - give your arms and legs a good squirt of bug spray or you may find yourself doing the NZ SandFly dance??? Zig zag your way past farmland to this beautiful river and gorge. There are 2 swing bridges and the path is easy and enjoyable as you see the most aqua blue water. It is an easy outing that can be enjoyed by many age groups and the scenery makes for easy beautiful pictures.
