Want to see a massive, amazing Bali rice field scenery during your holiday? So you MUST ,and should visit the Jatiluwih rice terrace in Tabanan Regency Bali.
Jatiluwih is around 1hour 30mins(by motorbike) from the main town - of Canggu. The journey to this place was great; it is located near the mountains.
Under the banner of a UNESCO World Heritage site - the very deserving & picturesque Jatiluwih Rice Terraces are a must-see when visiting Bali. There are many walking paths (also suitable for cycling) to enjoy the vast landscape of rice terraces. The scenery is amazing. There are benches to take a break along the way, and there are places to buy snacks and drinks along the way. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the landscape.
To enter this place, you have to pay the cost of around 100,000 rupiah for two. There is a great information point on the walk, which is entirely free, so do talk to the guide there! He is there to teach you about the various types of rice, its uses, and the machinery and tools used to prepare the rice paddies and for planting and harvesting.
I would recommend visiting during a quiet time as well as a cooler part of the day to take in the hard work & serenity achieved here. Don't forget a hat, water & sunscreen plus a camera if you'd like a fantastic scenic photo opportunity.
