Visit The Lost Town of Jerpoint St. Nicholas

Jerpoint park is not well sign-posted and you feel you are going up a private drive when you get there but this place is truly a heaven on earth.  Local legend has it that a nearby church, the Church of St Nicholas, was the final resting place of St.  Nicholas, the Bishop of Myra. Apparently around 500 years ago, the town simply vanished by Henry VIII, when the King became the supreme head of the church and centers of worship were disbanded.
