Kakabeka Falls is the second largest falls in Ontario. In fact, it's only 13 metres shorter than Niagara Falls. It's red coloured water is due to the iron content in the area rock and the thundering sound of the water is awesome. The oldest layers of the area have million-year old rock where 1.6 billion year old fossils have been found! We even had a spectacular rainbow at the end of the day. As you enter the park, even if the park attendant is missing and there's a sign in the window to that effect, watch out for the $30 parking ticket when you return to your vehicle! Make sure you get a parking pass from the park representative in that booth.
