Visit Venta Rapid

Venta Rapid is a waterfall on the Venta River in Kuldīga, Latvia and the widest waterfall in Europ. An interesting phenomenon can be observed near the waterfall in spring and autumn when spawning fish vimba (species of fish) try to get over the waterfall by jumping through the air. Great thing about the fall is  it's not very tall and you can even make it bare foot from one end to the other which is very refreshing in summer.Toilets and changing facilities as well as a wooden playground are available.The park near the bridge over the river is also fantastic for a hike.
