First beach is the beach in La Push to which you can drive up (versus walking/hiking like to Second and Third). As we were heading there the sky was clear and we were on schedule to view the sunset. As we approached, it was gray and cloudy but still a sight to see. We drove right up and there was plenty of space to park. There were lots of photographers, for good reason, and people camped on the beach. and and gravel at the mouth of the Quillayute River (La Push comes from la bouche or ‘the mouth’) creates several distinct, fat peaks on the outside with reform sections working into the beachbreak. Mid tides, all swells from S to NW.
