Lake Altausseer

This walk is one of the most beautiful trails in the whole region. Magnificent views to the surrounding mountains to the glacier "Dachstein" flip this trekking route to an unforgettable adventure. In the summertime, this lake offers the best possibility to swim in the crystal clear water. Tiny beaches all over the lake invite its vacationer to revel in the second and the splendor of this outstanding place.

Begin your walk around the "Altausseer See" to the south-east in the course to the hotel "Hotel Sevilla". Then follow the route "1a" which leads to the restaurant "Strandcafe" and also around the whole lake. In leisurely walk alongside this way admiring views to the surrounding mountains, the glacier, and the beautiful lake.
