Hawk Mountain Lookout Trail

You definitely get some immediate gratification with this trail as the Southern Overlook is less than half a mile from the parking lot offering gorgeous views over the valley. After that, you can really customize your hike to your liking with varying lengths and difficulty. The trail can change from easy to very difficult with rock climbing requirements quickly, but the trails are well marked. Highly recommended and easily combined with some Appalachian Trail treks like The Pinnacle and The Pulpit.
